Aranyani at TEDxDTU

Aranyani was invited to be a speaker at TEDxDTU held at the Delhi Technological University on March 18th, 2017. Her talk was about the caste dynamics within classical dance, where she traced the history of Bharatanatyam, from its Devadasi origins to its current Brahmin-dominated presence.

Her talk was followed by a performance by her – a piece that touches upon the issue of untouchability and temple entry prohibition.

The talk and performance were well received and widely appreciated.
